Renee - Portland area newborn photographer

I have had the pleasure of a month full of newborns! Within that month was 2 families that have waited a LONG time for their babies. Heartbreak, cost, and a whole lot of patience and it's all worth it when they are in your arms.

I met Selina and Phillip in late October for their maternity shoot and while we were shooting I asked how they met. They had been together for 10 years and trying for a baby for quite a few of those. Watching their sweet love and anticipation was just wonderful. I knew it would be a great newborn session just by their disposition, easy going nature, and the chemistry between the two.

Miss Renee was a few days late (OK, a week) but she was absolutely worth it.

We shot the session in her nursery and Mom and Dad's room for best light.

Mom wanted to make sure I got a shot of her VERY long feet! No complaints from me, I love some baby footsies.

Just as I was packing up we all remembered that we had wanted to try something with a little Christmas theme since she was born so close to the big day. I grabbed my lil santa hat and we headed for the tree. Just as I laid her down she started smiling!

I am so happy for this sweet lil family. If I am fortunate I will get to see her grow up from behind my lens.
